ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
As the Compliance Coordinator, you will be the key to ensuring our Justice Services operations in the Northern Territory run smoothly and with the highest level of quality. This role is a perfect fit for a proactive compliance professional who excels at managing quality assurance, audits, and procedural activities.
In this role you'lll work closely with the Manager - Justice Services in driving and monitoring adherence to all contractual obligations, relevant legislation, and G4S policies. You will use your expertise to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and will actively work with operational teams and diverse stakeholders to enhance safety and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery of our growing team of Officers and Supervisors.
A crucial component of this role is using data-driven insights from your compliance work to influence training programs. You will assist with coordinating comprehensive training plans to ensure that G4s is a workforce who are competent and compliant with their roles and responsibilities. Please note that this role will not delivery training to operational staff, and this will be delivered by our expert team of trainers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and monitor compliance against Service Levels (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and G4S policies and procedures, including the Quality Management System (ISO9001).
- Plan and conduct regular quality assurance and process audits to identify areas of non-conformance and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the contract's risk register and non-conformance database, tracking issues and corrective actions.
- Maintain and update site operational instructions and procedures in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Prepare regular, accurate reports on contractual performance, compliance status, and training metrics for the leadership team.
- Coordinate staff training programs and assist with delivering training to ensure all mandatory refreshers are completed and training gaps are addressed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're seeking a compliance professional with proven experience in quality assurance, compliance, or a similar administrative role, preferably within a high-volume operational, custodial, law enforcement, or security environment.
You should have:
- A strong ability to identify data trends, conduct root cause analysis, and effectively improve areas based on your findings.
- Demonstrated experience in managing audits, risk registers, and monitoring contract compliance.
- High accuracy in written reporting, data entry, and compliance auditing, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and an understanding of court practices and operational requirements within a justice or custodial environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in training coordination or exposure to managing training compliance for a workforce is essential.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
